One of the challenges of using Japanese wood craft in modern times is efficiency and technical skills. But with the rise of CNC milling and 3D-printing fabrication techniques, this traditional knowledge in wood can now be deployed in architecture in a much more affordable, reliable and innovative way. This project experiments in both handcrafting and digital fabrication technology, work with the limitations and explore new possibilities in architecture.
